Our Provincial Gang Strategy Forum in May 2018 brought together communities, agencies, and knowledge experts to develop a collaborative, prevention and intervention-based provincial gang strategy. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success.

Tansi, Hello, Bonjour,
I am thrilled to be a part of this journey towards building safer communities across Saskatchewan. As the Associate Director for the Students Commission of Canada, I realize the importance of engaging the young people in our communities in our efforts.
As a part of the gang-strategy team, I hope to bring a workshop and presentation that builds and strengthens youth voice and incorporates young people’s ideas into the formation of a provincial gang strategy.
As part of the next steps, our STR8 UP team will be visiting 8 communities across Saskatchewan to help inform and gather further feedback on what is needed for a Provincial Gang Strategy. With 24 recommendations to present under 5 theme areas, we are certain that each community, individual and program will find something that resonates and gives some impetus for movement on localized Gang strategy prevention and intervention efforts.
