The Forum will be a collaborative endeavour, in which ideas and views can be freely exchanged to generate a local community-based strategy on gangs. Participants will receive relevant overviews, exchange critical information and can respond to personal research questions on the issue of gangs and gang activities. They will also, network with different agencies, organizations, communities, communicating what has been effective and what has not.
We expect up to eighty participants from different communities and agencies from across Saskatchewan in attendance.

Outcomes
Upon the conclusion of the forum, community engagement activities will be designed for further community collaboration. A final report will be complied and submitted by August 31, 2018 to the participants of the forum as well as the Federal government and the Government of Saskatchewan to determine the development of a provincial gang strategy.

Develop tools for building healthy communities
Create strategy document, and “calls to action”
Network, collaborate, and support one another
Empower communities to develop their own gang strategies
Discover options for “at-risk” youth, beyond gangs
Create timeline for implementation of recommendations
